After the fight with Bismarck, you run into the Archbishop and the Ascian. The Ascian holds you off with dark power while they also casually hand the Archbishop the key. I have a few questions regarding this cutscene.
1. Why didn't the Ascian, if she had the power to subdue the Warrior of Light, not just throw the WoL off the platform?
2. How is the WoL so easily subdued? I understand Ascians, and the protection of Light or whichever, but even still. The Warrior of Light saved Minfilia without the Blessing of Light, so this part is rather confusing. It makes the WoL look weak and could've been easily soloed by the Ascian if not for the plot.
What are your thoughts? :cool:

I don't think we could have soloed Igeyorhm, and we sort of see why later on in the story. She's very powerful.
I don't think losing in a single contest to the Ascians makes you look very weak, and really Minfilia was saved more by Moenbryda than the WoL. That said, if you are worried about feeling a little weak I can only say that you should keep pushing for 60. -

Firstly, Moenbryda wasn't killed by Nabriales; she died as a means to give her aether to power the artificial blade of light that Moen had been working on (shorn of the blessing, the auracite/aether-rod/Tupsimati combo was the only way you could reliably kick his ass for good).
Secondly, when Igeyohrm tries to kill you, she mentions that your blessing is the only thing keeping you alive - even if it is only at half strength.
I guess you weren't paying attention to the parts where you're relighting all your crystals that Midgardsormr went and turned off (albeit in a different order than you got them). -

If your death was the intention, she could have had the HW finish you off even if her magic couldn't. So that's a lot of needless conjecture on your behalf.Quote:
