Is Typhoon Roke going to effect servers?

Are the FFXIV servers still in japan? Typhoon Roke is expected to be pretty strong and might knock out power for a while. It might hit Tokyo Wednesday.

And hope everyone in Japan stays safe ^^.

I doubt the servers are going to suddenly grow wings and fly off to another country any time soon (though it would be appreciated if they could come slightly closer to the UK) so yes, they are still in Japan.

Japan's a lot smarter than America when it comes to spending the money to protect their infrastructure from natural disasters instead of bickering over contracts and taxes.

So I think they'll be okay. Tokyo isn't New Orleans.

If it becomes a real problem, they'll invent a bunch of robots to lift up the country and hold them in the air to protect them from the elements.
