ps4 controller

i don't know if its my controller or the game but when i play it's like im struggling the run i had this problem a couple of months ago then it stopped but as soon as HW started it's doing it again been going on since friday now

Is it just when you are running forward and sometimes it will just start to walk for no reason? I thought it was my controller but maybe not hmm.

yeah that's exactly what it does i won't even go into a dungeon because of it

Same problem has been happening to me and my cousin.

My ps4 and his pc controller seems like it has a mind of its own sometimes and runs off into another direction when hes using different moves like spirits within.

was fine before the patch, he said he runs and then it pulls like he has no control over it the controller is new so it ain't that wonder if this is a bug?

Example he says he'll be fighting a monster then try to change to that monster and hit it with spirits within but the yanks him back at the other monster and feels like hes stuck or sometimes he will be auto running and it will tug him left and zig zag its been happening since 3.0

I'm also having this issue, I use a wireless Xbox 360 controller.
with me every so often the controller will stop responding beifly causing my character to run or the camera to keep rotating.

see now SE this is the very reason why you NEED test servers before releasing Expansion packs/large patches like this!

I think its when they added the new gamepad functions something they messed up.

I don't like it, I like having the feel I have control over my character when it tugs me to the left and I feel like im auto running trying to cancel it, it kinda is a bummer.

new gamepad functions? you mean like for flight? even if this was something intended it shouldn't mess with the camera...I have to push the stick to get the camera to stop moving, it is very messy this way. not liking this.

okay so I might have found a fix, for the heck of it I decided to go in and re calibrate the controller in the system settings and I haven't had the issue happen since. I'll try it for a few days and see for sure.

and before any of you say the last patch fixed this, it didn't but I think calibrating the controller again might have.

I figured out whats happening and I don't like what they added.

So if you are auto running with L1 and use any skill like spear throw even a normal tp attack its going to cause you to auto run to that target.
I like the way it was before, I don't like this new feature if it is one, I want full control of my character not making it auto run to my targets when I fight.

it screws me up causes me to mess up a lot.

just a real quick run through again.

L1 auto running, weapon skills cause you to auto run to that target you could be running left auto running and you spear throw to the right will cause you to go right to the monster on right side when you want to grab monster on left at same time which causes me to mess up because I miss left target and caused to go right.

some will say don't use auto run but that's what I do when I fight sometimes hope SE removes what they did.
