ONE question about Mounts

I have ONE question. After doing some research, I've learned that all mounts are the same speed. I understand the motivation to promote diversity and I suspect the policy has been working. But my one question is: if I get another mount, will I get different mounted music? That little chocobo theme is driving me NUTZ. I don't want to turn off music, I love the game music throughout the game. Except when mounted.

There are several mount songs and the Chocobo theme is limited to chocobos only (not the fat chocobo)

As Ilona mentioned, only chocobos have the personal chocobo theme Eorzea de Chocobo (Company Chocobo, Legacy Chocobo, Draught Chocobo, Ceremony Chocobo, Amber Draught Chocobo and Black Chocobo) - most other mounts use the same default track (The Rider's Boon). However, recent patches have changed some mount themes - the ones I'm aware of are below:

Magitek Armour and Gilded Magitek Armour - Magiteknical Difficulties (remix of Terra's Theme from FFVI)
Fat Chocobo and Parade Chocobo - Big Boned (remix of Fat Chocobo's Arrival from FFIV)
Aithon - Primal Judgement (Ifrit's battle theme)
Boreas - Oblivion (Shiva's second stage battle theme)
Enbarr - Through the Maelstrom (Leviathan's second stage battle theme)
Gullfaxi - Under the Weight (Titan's third stage battle theme)
Markab - Thunder Rolls (Ramuh's battle theme)
Xanthos - Fallen Angel (Garuda's battle theme)

And of course, it should go without saying that flying mounts added in the Heavensward expansion have a new special theme as well (a remix of Silver Tears, the theme for the Keeper of the Lake, curiously enough, itself a variation of the Mor Dhona zone theme Intertwined, but I digress.).

If a non-chocobo mount isn't one of these, then it's theme will probably just be the standard mount theme The Rider's Boon.

You can turn off the music when mounted, and still have the rest of the game music active.

Hit Esc > System Configuration > Sound Settings and untick the box that says "Play music when mounted."
