Invalid Activation Key from Square Enix Website?

I'm such a mix of pissed off and confusion right now. I did not do a trial version through steam, but I did purchase my copy on PC from there.

Not only did I miss the early access, now that I have received my activation key, THAT DOESN'T WORK EITHER!?!?

Seriously I've never had this problem, that's why you buy from the actual company instead of a third party.

As far as I can see I have to contact their support who happens to work at the same time as me...

I'm so ready to be done with this.
