Launcher error after applying HW key to account

I've been playing early access since shortly after it went live. I'm level 56 so I'm well into Heavensward content already. As soon as I applied the key from my CE box I started getting the following error on trying to log in:


Unable to Perform version Update [30410][30607][20457][409]

Yes, I've run the installer and uninstalled/reinstalled
Yes, I've tried the .cfg file fix suggested in the "resolved" thread
No, neither of those things fixed the error.

Is this a full delete/reinstall situation, or is it related to adding the key before the servers were ready?

EDIT: gone with the delete/reinstall option. 7 hour download.
