War Macros for Stance Dancing

Greetings

Here are a couple of helpful macros for Defiance / Deliverance stance dancing:

Per Sirdanile

Deliverance
/merror off
/micon "Deliverance"
/ac "Deliverance" <me>
/hotbar Action "Fell Cleave" 1 7
/hotbar Action "Decimate" 2 7

Defiance
/merror off
/micon "Defiance"
/ac "Defiance" <me>
/hotbar Action "Inner Beast" 1 7
/hotbar Action "Steel Cyclone" 2 7

Note that the #'s are your hotbar# and the related # in the slot you wish to replace.

Here is what I use for cross hotbar (this is slightly different in that it uses 2 hotbars instead of replacing the skill on the hotbar)

(old main hotbar is #2, new hotbar with basically the same skills sub Deliverance abilities instead of Defiance is #3)

Deliverance
/micon Deliverance
/ac Deliverance <me>
/chotbar change 3

Defiance
/micon Defiance
/ac Defiance <me>
/chotbar change 2

Either way will work for stance dancing,

Using a controller this is definitely helpful!
Although I have 32 available buttons, as a level 60 (WAR) I still miss one more ability :(

Currently leaving out Unchained, due to its uselessness :|

Edit: I duplicate 4 (Defensive cooldowns) to make them appear on the same position if I press L2>R2 and R2>L2; for oh snap moments.

Now with /chotbar I can retain my Unchained !

Unchained is OP, for tank stance at least.

I think I'll switch to using the first set that Sirdanile come up with. I thought that Raw Intuition was an "uncontrollable" ability and that it would assume the same position as Unchained on my DPS stance hotbar. Since it's a regular CD it makes more sense to just swap the abilities around instead of swap hotbars.

I like duplicating the expanded hotbars too, in a crunch it's helpful not having to worry about which trigger you pull first. That's changing tho, gotta break the habit because there's too many actions now ; ;

True.. I am afraid of whats coming in the next expansion !! 5 more abilities ;O

Anyways, Switching hotbars macro is good for me because I am going to get two free spot.
Here is my pseudo-macro (not on PS4 atm):

DPS-macro:
/micon Deliverance
/ac Deliverance <me>
/chotbar change DPS-bar

TANK-macro:
/micon Defiance
/ac Defiance <me>
/chotbar change TANK-bar

x-bars(mains):
TANK-bar will have all tanking abilities, and a single stance macro, which is DPS-macro.
DPS-bar will have all dps abilities, and a single stance macro, which is TANK-macro.

This is very helpful as it will make you auto-focus on which stance you are using. Also sometimes I hit Deliverance or Defiance while I am on the same stance, due to lag issues and lose all my stacks :(

Neat, i'm glad people are getting use out of my macros, I even saw a reddit thread with the same information made shortly after I posted.

The macros do still work even when level synced/pre level 60, it just won't swap in the abilities that you don't have yet.

I had no idea you could switch actions on a slot using macros. Does it not work with the Cross Hotbar setup? That sounds so useful for a variety of situations. (Switching between fairies on scholar, for example.)

Yes it works the same way but the names are different. Withuot being in game to check mine, I think it goes something like this:

/crosshotbar action set "Fell Cleave" 1 LD1

1 being the crosshotbar set and LD1 being the L2 + button designation map name

I believe you can check the button map names to plug into your macro line by using the command /? crosshotbar

Good tip, anything to clear up a couple slots and make things easier.

Yes, look in the macro command list under /crosshotbar command, it will list the appropriate letters/names to use for the slot.

FYI: You don't need the word "action" in the above, something like this works fine:

/chotbar set "Fell Cleave" 2 LDL

Where "2" is the corresponding cross hotbar #, and LDL is L2 trigger, D pad, Left
