Anyone get some experience with their DRK in Frontlines yet? Curious how it does. :)
I have only ever played sch (a healer in any game), but I just have a strong desire to main DRK.

Not yet, due to pretty much everyone levelling, no one is playing FL or WD from what I've seen.
From what I've tested on WD pier though (in gear that is relative in strength to what you get sync'd to), DRK has some nice tools, but Carnal Chill seems extremely lackluster, it lasts for awhile, sure, but you have to hope your enemies are grouped up for it to have full effect. I don't think it can really compare to Testudo or Thrill of War, simply because you have to rely on the enemy team making a mistake and more than one of them getting hit by it.
Tar Pit seems like it'll be really good for chasing or in FL on a group of people.
The problem (for FL, anyway) is that DRK lacks an offensive knockback PvP skill, meaning you are not gonna be able to push certain classes off the edge like you would on WAR/PLD; You can however, help your WARs and PLDs get close to a target near a ledge and allow them to push that person off (or anyone else for that matter).
As for WD, I'm not too sure how DRK will fare, the stun they get is even less reliable than Brutal Swing unless someone is stupid enough to attack you from the front and you get lucky, and the class doesn't possess the same utility as PLD. Granted, you do get some nasty self-healing if you use Grit, but if you have to fall back on that, you've probably lost the match anyway. Tar Pit will probably help with chasing healers though, but a Purify could easily solve that.
Basically: it seems like the class can burst fairly well, but when it comes to party support, even with lv60 skills I don't see DRK being more useful than PLD (or WAR, for that matter) in WD, at least not right now. I could be wrong, after all I haven't actually tested it in practice (and testing it thoroughly would roughly take 100~200 matches or more), but the class lacks some of the things that PLD and WAR bring to the table. If you did WD on a DRK, I'd suggest going in with a BLM/MCH, NIN, and healer of your choice.
At first glance, I would rather use it in FL though. It seems more like an independent job. Single someone out, and bring them down when they aren't looking. If you need healing, Grit + DA Souleater. It seems like it'll be nasty in Secure, and I can see it being seriously difficult for people to burst down if played right.
i had a few matches on drk and in my limited experience it's quite strong.
the main draw is that it has so many off global abilities that closing out kills is always in reach. the main issue with pld and war in something like frontlines is the lack of those OGCDs that help you pile onto the burst, making it very difficult to get kills without proper timing. drk, however, has an abundance and a lot of them are on low cooldown. if nothing else, running around with a 400 potency combo ender in souleater can often be enough to finish people off.
correct me if i'm wrong but war and pld abilities weren't adjusted from 1-50, so things like souleater (400 potency with dark arts) and scourge (500 potency dot) far outclass the counterpart abilities of war and pld. so add that and all those ogcds and extra abilities up and it means drk is the tank job that applies the highest pressure in the game, at least at 50. whomever you're chasing will be taking high, consistent damage and you'll always virtually be a threat to kill at a higher hp threshold than for other jobs.
Tanks value in pvp shouldnt be measured in damage, but rather what tools they bring to the table to reduce the enemy's capacity. Tank should see direct assault as a secondary priority to defending the party.
I have not seen in in action yet, but tarpit will most likely be extremely useful detering melees from charging in to your party (they wont be able to run away after the hit) and protect your healers/casters from those melees chraging them. Secondly, unleash is an instant and spammable aoe that does damage therefore will interupt casters! A DRK could run in and keep a bunch of blm and healers interrupted which has tremendous strategic value. Combine it with carnal chill and pushback... damn !
Gone up against a few drks, no real problems as of yet. I have been trying out machinist, despite its low potency numbers I have come out as most dmg/kills regulary.
Had a few 2 v 1s against me and won easily xD
Dark looks like it could be a very valuable job for a team unfortunately none of the real pvpers are playing atm
