Couple Summoner questions about pets. (not a complaint thread)

Heya, so after seeing the changes to Summoner in the patch notes, I decided I wanted to go back to Summoner again since I've had enough time away from it for to be a fresh new experience for me. I had a couple questions though since it's been a long time and with the new changes I'm a bit out of the loop.

1. Which pet should I be using for dps now? I heard that Ifrit became the better pet to use in 2.5/2.55 but with the changes to increase dot damage and pets benefiting from spell speed, is Ifrit still the better pet to use or is Garuda back to being the go to pet?

2. If Ifrit is still the go to dps pet, do I still try to use Miasma 2 when Raging Strikes is up or is that only with using Garuda and Contagion?

Shrug on the first question.

Miasma 2 does less damage than Ruin does if only hitting one target, the only exception is contagion from garuda.

It's still too early to say but so far, it's still the same usage. Use Ifrit unless there are numerous adds or your target moves around too much; otherwise use Garuda. Titan best for solo play but can be used in dungeons under extreme situations. More info >>here<<

Really hard to say even for AOE situations.

Radiant Shield puts a buff on everyone in range of Ifrit. That when they take damage it does damage back to its source. This stacks with rouse/spur.

So basically when it gets on your tank, it is a very strong AOE skill but I'm not sure yet how it compares to Aerial Slash and contagioned dots.

Ah ok, so would it be safe to say to default to Ifrit unless the one of the two situations for Garuda (multiple adds and/or movement heavy boss) is met and then swap to Garuda? Thanks for the help. :)
