I got a Grade 5 materia!

I feel like this may be some kind of a server first or something. I know this is at least the first level 5 materia to be placed on the Market Board on my server. For those who are curious, I got it by doing the thing that the patch notes said you could get Grade 5 crafting materias from: transmutation with Mutamix. I only got one Grade 5 out of a good 40 or so tries, but it was worth it.

I gave up trying after turning in more than a stack of TIV and only getting back TIV. I still have more than 500 junk TIV sitting around, I'll try again next time I get bored and am willing to click the OK button repeatedly for half an hour.

Congrats! I got one too from transmutation on Friday night lol... on my first try too.. I even got that achievement I got a better materia. I couldn't believe it, I hope I didn't use up all my rng luck right there. It's a acc+12.. kinda tough pricing it. Since then one other tier 5 has been put up for Sale and they're asking 4 mil lol.

tried over 300 materia no luck yet lol.. diff wont be worth it in the end if the rng is this low

I believe it is atm and a thought just hit me as I was reading your post. This may be why the endgame crafted gear didn't come out. Cause they hadn't worked out the details to the grade V materia.

For crafting and gathering, transmute is the only way. It should be possible to get battle-materias from convert iirk from the patch notes.

I actually got mine on the second try. I was super lucky. Haven't seen any grade 5s since after another 40 or 50 tries.

I try 200+ and just got one force V ... Also try 200+ craft/gathering mat IV and got O V so don't try ^^
