I don't think they hit that hard though I guess if you are going into Heavensward with ilvl 110 they probably hurt. They have a lot more HP too than previous mobs so take a while to kill. That said I think most DPS should manage to kill a mob long before it kills them.
My main issue with quest mobs is there just isn't enough to go around lol. You get to an area and there is one mob per 20 people so everyone is fighting over mobs. I start killing one and two others muscle in on it. Fluid aura has become a useful tool for moving a mob out of range of ground AoE's and melee DPS so they don't take my kill XD.
