Lobby errors happen. They shouldn't, but they do.
That said, whoever told you that lobby errors should send us back to desktop, forcing us to re-insert our password and one time password, lied to you.
That's the stupidest idea I could think at the moment, and I urge you to change it ASAP.
Ideally, your users should never be forced to insert their password more than once per session, no matter their connection status.
ya not a fan also, most games just pop you to the start screen, idk why this one doesn't.

Yeah this is the only modern MMO I've played that this was a problem with. And before anyone says "Launch/Early access always has problems". That doesn't apply to what the OP is saying as the other MMO's simply put you into a queue. Sure the queue may last for a few hours but at least they let you wait in line and free you to do other things while you wait. And that was for FRESHLY launched MMO's.
Being forced to sit at the computer, spamming the log-in process, rolling the dice over and over and over and over and over again to get in, is just bad design. Especially for an over year old established MMO. Nothing to do with "Congestion issues".
If the problem is just a full server, FFXIV WILL put you into a queue. That's not what this is, this is something else. And to be fair, I had a LOT of "error to desktop" errors with WOW when the most recent expansion launched, the same as this. It was much more widespread and happened for a longer period of time. So I wouldn't say this is the only modern MMO I've had this problem with. That said, I really don't think it would hurt to add a "retry" button when that problem occurs, so we don't have to enter all our information all over again.
No kidding, it's quite annoying having to log in over and over again only to be booted by the same error. Also to wait in que for an eternity just to get booted yet again.
