Balmung's Advice on Role-Play please?

Well, while I find a way to sneak my way into Balmung (Because no matter the time, it is always full), I'd like to know the commons of Roleplay!

Not as in "How to Role-Play" in general as is, because I know how to do so (Or at least, I think I do...), but rather how is RP usually in Balmung! You know, the commons of how they use their chats, how commonly are the Linkshell used, the FC's, and blah blah snorkel blah!

I want to become familiar with it while I get into the server... Speaking of wich! *goes and tries again*

There are a few resources out there that can be found.
The primary one that I can think of is the roleplayer site at: http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/
Hop on there, introduce yourself at the Welcome Desk and can be used to get a decent feel for the community.
To answer your questions, Linkshells, FCs and open world roleplay are all pretty common and there is even a directory of them on the RPC.
Chat is used in both custom emotes using the /em command as well as in regular text, depending on your style, preference and situation.

Except for the fact that I have to register in yet another site... @__@ Too many! Haven't organized my database yet!
