Gimme us a XIV Hard mode already >.<

Don't know about you guys but I just don't like the fact that you can either one shot mobs the same level as you or take up mobs that's 10 levels higher then you :/. Atleast give players a sense of danger when heading into some areas as well... Killing stuff like rats... bugs... & Rabbits doesn't make me feel like a true hero in the land of eorzea... Even at lv1 they atleast should give us some Epic mobs to fight like Orcs... Dancing Weapons... o.o and yes... Undead Fomors that wanna steal your candys only after dark lol... :D, But seriously get rid of the training wheels of this game... Hardcore gamers wanna have fun too! Bring on the Epicness baby! ^.~

You do know this game was always designed and advertised as a more casual game right? I mean if you want a super-obnoxious hardcore game fest this probably isn't the game for you >.>

To be fair though the game has gotten harder as things have gone on, though yes it is a bit easy still. I mean it used to be you could just zerg things with 15-man parties, just throw more DD/Healers at it since MP management was non-existent. Thaumaturges could solo most of the high-level NMs, groups didn't require skill, dungeons didn't exist, etc...

I don't know about you but walking around some of the zones in this game is suicidal even as an R50. The main roads are mostly safe but they're not always the fastest way somewhere.

So long as you're not advocating that I shouldn't be able to solo things my level like in FFXI I'm fine with this.

Run across the left side of Mor Dhona and try to kill the basilisks on your own.

There's a bit of hard mode for you ;)

I'd also like a bit of extra difficulty, though I wish they'd do something that was difficult but not the point of using:

Fire > Cure > Thunder > Cure > Blizzard > Cure > repeat.

Unless I'm playing the hard way and that's why I have to do that >.>'

:/ Actually already preordered Dark souls for this... lol Only Wish this game would follow it's footsteps tho :D muhahahahaha!!!, but yea I see whatz ya saying... I don't wanna see solo gaming go away however more pty content and skillful play sure would be nice... hopefully the New Job system will bring this to reality ^^

The invasion of the empire attacks are a pretty good challenge, so is trying to solo Goobue, Molboro, some NM's. Rabbits, rats, and bugs aren't meant to be a challenge. That is like me going outside, ripping a weed out of the ground and yelling to the sky to give me a challenge when I could be trying to rip up a tree nearby. QQ

I heard from guys in my LS that Cactaur Jack is a pain in the whatsit if you try and take him on at his level. (1000 needles and all that, y'know?)

If you don't like one-shotting mobs at your level or kill mobs 10 levels above you, try 20 levels above you ^^
Sense of danger is there if you go to area with level 90+ mobs :P
What we need I think is more excitement tightened to a story. Grow fear for some NPC and make us fight him. Like the dude in the rank46 cutscene for example, can't wait to challenge him in a fight!
