Receiving 5006 Error messages when attempting to access the Lobby server

I have been attempting to log in and after I click start I get a 5006 error stating that there is an issue attempting to access the lobby server. I am assuming that there is an issue with accessing the Lobby server right now with all this congestion going on. But it bears to ask this question, is it because there are so many people logged in at the moment or is this once again a planning underestimate and we got more people than usual?
