Game Forcefully Crashes -- PC

Hello,

I don't know what's going on with my computer since I've tried everything I can think of. I can get all the way to my character but when the world is loading FF XIV has a critical error and crashes.

I run Windows 8.1, Radeon 5800 series graphics card (Drivers updated to current), no Sweetfx or anything of the sort. I didn't have this problem until 3.0 hit, now I'm curious.

I did notice something odd, however, at the login screen. I've supplied a link. I believe there's supposed to be a graphic behind the text.

If anyone can be of any assistance please let me know, I'm running out of ideas!
