Why am I not gaining exp?

Your account isn't registered with Heavensward. Same thing happened to me- make sure you're cleared and stuff.

ok, I ADMIT IM A DUMB BLOND! . I was able to enter the pre order code and it gave me a code for the in game goodies to get. How do I get the code to actually play HW and get exp?

you probably need the early access code. the code you got was probably to register you game
