It seems Holy and Flare now both lose potency based on the total # of mobs, someone (@charmwitch) posted two screenshots on twitter but seems to have deleted them now.
I would really hate to see this happen to these spells, any truth to the nerf?

They are legit.
SE apparently real unhappy with speed pulls from Mages.
Probably due to the fact that people would use like double blm and whm + tank to speed run all dungeons for tomes. It was just way faster then any other set up.
Time for DRG + BRD to make a return.
It's balance, gotta consider how OP those spells were cause they were pure damage with no limitations and then you have SMN/SCH using 3 DoT Bane with a limit of 4 targets alltogether, that s a bit unbalanced imo so I"m glad to hear they are having dmg based on amount of targets now.
Yesterday was doing DD first rooms to level my WHM to 50, made it from 46 to 49 and a half in like 1 hour doing holy spam with another WHM... I say the nerf is needed rofl.
