Chocobo and duty finder

i did not see this in the patch notes stating if we are now allowed to queue in the Df while using our chocobo companions?

I get that the system they used for implementing chocobo companions in the first place is its own thing that follows some really weird rules and implementation

But I really wish they would fix this.

I agree. Doubly so as they say the open world is going to be more dangerous. I would like a companion as I travel.

you may have a companion but no duty for you(said like soup nazi) lol

YoshiP seems to continually misunderstand what people mean when they ask for this.

The first time it was asked directly in a live letter, he thought people wanted to ENTER dungeons with their chocobo companions (even though that's not what was asked). Later he seemed to kind of get it but gave some wishy washy excuse about your chocobo companion being a party member and that system not allowing that kind of interaction or something.

It's really quite simple: Change the system so that it doesn't account for your chocobo at all when putting together a DF party. Then: dismiss the chocobo when the duty is accepted and re-summon it when the duty is over.

I honestly fail to understand why this is hard.

Yes please, my chocobo has been in the stable since, well since we could stable chocobos. I always queue up for something when im online and do side things like fishing or play another game while waiting for queue, oen side thing that id like to do is level up chocobo while being in queue.

The chocobo AI is stupid too, feels like its a beta thing and then they realised they got it all wrong and now they dont want to fix it

Can we have the Chocobro actually be worthwhile first? I find mine utterly intolerable now, having it out just gives me some false sense of security that blows up in my face whenever I find a real challenge and promptly notice that my bird is retarded. Utterly weak cures, AI that has him run into AoE as I dodge them unless I lock him on Free Stance, but in that case I get no cures... Very least I'd like is for them to scale to our iLevel, perhaps then its cures would be worth a damn and it wouldn't die if something so much as sneezes at it...

Really though... All they need to do is not have the damn thing be the same as Eos or egis, then there is absolutely no problem; If they can force cancel a Triple Triad match when you hit "Accept" to a duty, they can force dismiss a bird... I imagine the only issue with that is having the bird out while having Eos or an egi out... But you know what? I wouldn't mind if that was impossible, I'd rather have Eos or Titan-egi anyway...
