But machinist deploys the satelite drone that they themselves built while Barret, with his limited budget, could never afford to send a toaster to space!! He must have hacked a Shinra satelite!!

Speaking of which, didn't they barely have the technology for a single rocket?? How come there are satelites in FFVII again?

Well the reason is probably because barret is so badass, when he wants a satellite beam he's gonna get a satellite beam.

Also iirc Cid's rocket was the first manned? mission to space? I assume thats how it works anyway.

Well true, in his last limit break he basicly stole the beam from the satelite to shot it multiple times from his arm...
