Will we be able to transform R/EX gear into Materia? *Bayohne :o*

I have a simple question I know many are wondering the answer to.


Will we be able to convert R/EX gear into materia?

edit: R/EX means Unique/Untradable. I played FFXI too long so for me it will always be Rare/Exclusive

There was a confirmation that you can't attach materia to dungeon/raid gear, something something about balance.

There was never a confirmation whether u can spiritgrind the gears though.

You're right I forgot about that confirmation. I'll take that part out of there, as the main question anyway was about being able to transform all the useless R/EX we have lying around into materia.

This is actually a good question, I thought I saw something about Unique (Rare) being convertable somewheres, but not Unique/Untradable (R/EX).

I really think they should change it back to Rare/Exclusive Unique/Untradable just doesn't roll off the tongue as easily.

Where is Bay? kinda miss him, save us from Skirata!! pleeeaaassseee! :(

The confirmation mentioned only NM gear. It's still up in the air whether or not raid/dungeon gear falls into this category.

can someone post this confirmation, i dont recall reading.

On the subject of uni/unt (nonNM) gear transform into materia, I would hope so cause atleast they would be useful even if they worthless.
