I noticed this in the email sent out after I preordered Heavensward:
"Please note that to access Heavensward content you must have completed the "Before the Dawn" main scenario quest introduced in FFXIV: A Realm Reborn Patch 2.55."
So, to continue leveling in the new Heavensward content I'm going to have to finish the MS quests? Is this correct? Not complaining... I'm just really far behind. I'm on "Pass the Smell Hest" at the moment.
Also, will I need to complete the MS quests to access the machinist? Thanks!
Yes. They have stated this multiple times, that you will need to clear 2.55 before you can access Ishgard. All the new job trainers are in Ishgard, so you cannot start AST, DRK, or MCH before completing 2.55.
