I'm sure many players have experienced this, but the system does not always log a player out quickly after an internet disconnection.
In just over half of the cases I've polled from players in game it can take 5-10 minutes for the system to log a player out if they have disconnected.

Now some of you may say... whatever. what's 5 minutes?

5 minutes is exactly how long a loot timer is before it automatically excludes you from the roll.

If your internet hiccup happens when there is loot rolls occurring or when there is a chest up that has not been clicked yet(for example a raid boss has just died), you will not be able to log back in until the timer has run out, and excluding you from the rolls.

Team members of Square Enix, I beg of you, please fix this issue with the system recognizing players as disconnected and logging them out so they can log back in quickly. There are other issues such as returning in time to save your group that is in mid combat as well.
