Capping at 30FPS solves 90002 errors??

Ever since upgrading to a new video card (and some other new hardware), I couldn't play for more than two minutes without getting dropped due to error 90002 (or occasionally 90001).

I tried port forwarding, tracerts, everything - literally nothing helped.

And then I saw one buried post somewhere on Reddit that capping the framerate at 30fps helped?

How and why did that work???

(Bonus: if someone can tell me how to play at my computer's full capacity - e.g. 60fps cap - without hitting these errors, that would be WONDERFUL!)

For anyone reading this, I think I figured it out!

I'm using a USB adapter, and it was originally plugged into my rear USB ports. For some reason, power to those ports is reduced when the video card is under strain (despite having a sufficient PSU). (This is detectable by running a set of ~300 pings to your router while you mess with the video settings).

I solved this by plugging my adapter into my FRONT usb ports, which for some reason don't face this power issue!

Depends on what Hardware you have, but lower the details always helps in Mor Dhona, less players are shown the smoother the game runs.
I think it is easier to start with the lowest hardware configuration and then push theses things up you want the most.

You're using a USB network adapter? Oh honey you should never use USB or Wireless network adapters to play MMORPG's :). They require a non-trivial amount of CPU power to keep running, and are limited to low power draws. WiFi can use up to half of the power that a USB port can pull. A Video card uses more than a hundred times that.

Capping the frame rate at 30 actually solves two things:
1) Limits the video card output rate
2) Limits the network card command rate. If you have Nagle algorithm turned off at least.

If the video card is under load, it should not be pulling additional power from the motherboard, that's what the additional power cables are for. Sometimes there is an additional 4-pin or 8-pin (or molex connector) on the motherboard which is mainly to provide more 12V power.

If the problem was resolved by moving the networking adapter to the front of the system, this likely means that there are missing power rails in the system. The front-panel ports are usually located along the bottom edge of the motherboard (next to the SATA ports.)

But you may also be overlooking something more obvious.

If moving your network adapter moved the line of sight to the router, then maybe it pulls less power to begin with.
