Will the content be available to download hours or days prior to the early access start time at 2am Pacific / 5am Eastern? Obviously we are gated by a single quest which can be patched up to be accessible in a quick second, but can we begin downloading this massive expansion earlier than this?

Psn digital orders can start on the 17th, the others idk
I would really like to know the answer to this as i will take a vacation day if PC's can download it before the 19th.
Regarding the Early Access game client
Windows/Steam users:
Users who have registered their early access codes and are currently playing FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will have their game client updated automatically as we near early access and will not need to download a separate client.
well it looks like this steals the thunder from PSN's Digital Pre-Load if all that gets pre loaded is the same client data that everyone else gets prior to the 19th. considering the notes indicate the patch that will be released alongside with the Early-Access pretty much is the Early Access download data everyone is waiting on.

There will be maintenance before early access starts.
This maintenance will update the data for the expansion, A Realm Reborn content, and implement other fixes.
so looks like PSN pre-load peeps will be on the same server congested boat chanting "must go faster, must go faster"
