Relax some glamour restrictions for 3.0?

Any way we can do this? I like a lot of the armors at 50 but not being able to cross-class them bothers me. For one, only mages get hoods and I'd like to have a hood. Currently there's only one hood I can wear and I can't even glamour it because it's multi-slot.

For another, I'd like to be able to glamour some of the bard stuff too, hats, tunics etc.

I know it's often been said that certain classes are supposed to maintain certain aesthetics, but I feel like this argument is totally lost in the age of being able to tank, DPS and heal in a speedo, among other aesthetics that totally defy class stuff. I think it's long past time to ease up on some of these restrictions.

Edit --> It's worth noting that while I'd prefer not to go this way, it'd be okay to require that we have a class at the level and of the necessary job/class for the item, just let me maintain the glamour regardless of my active class is all I ask! :P I'm fine working for my look just let me actually do it.

There's no reason not to give us Glamour freedom. 3.0 would be a great time to do it!

thats what sucks about the glamour system with multi slot stuff you can't glamour I'm in love with the dark light tank gear but can't glamour it :(

It would also be nice if they took off the lvl 50 restriction. I have a couple of alts that are hovering around lvl 30 on their first job right now, and it drives me up the wall that I'm collecting all this seasonal gear and I can't glamour any of it. I'm stuck with the, really stupid, looking stuff.

Yeah some of that stuff even being level 50 is just bizarre. As for the multi slot - agreed. I wish they would just make it so you can glamour that stuff without all the dang restrictions. I love the multi-slot cowls, both the basic and higher level ones but can't glamour them onto anything except other cowls which is just pointless.

I've been thinking that one simple method would be to simply change class specific glamours to just simply "Disciple of War/Magic". For example, I love the look of the Darklight Gauntlets/Sollerets, but why should ONLY a Dragoon have access to that when the Warwolf Gauntlets/Sollerets of Fending or the i70 Protector's set pieces are the same thing in a different color?

Please consider simplifying glamour restrictions down to either Disciples of War, Magic, or All Classes.

Right now my artisan's set is glamored patrician's coatee and gloves, best man's slacks and shoes.

If I could glamor the top with the weaver's swallowtail and wear it with all my classes I would love it.

One of the worst things in regards to glamour right now is how we lost the crafter job-specific gear. Unless I create 8 artisan aprons, meld all of them and then glamour each to the original i55 job-specific body pieces...and make room for all 8 of them in my armoury chest... all my crafters look the same. I know in HW crafters go back to having 8 sets of gear (at least I'm assuming that from the videos and trailers we've seen thus far). But, in a future patch, they'll be another artisan's apron type body piece that is better and we'll all go back to have 8 look-a-like crafters once more.

Proposed solution:
Make glamour bound to the gearset as opposed to the gear itself. So, an ironworks armor of fending could be glamoured with a PLD specific glamour AND a WAR specific glamour.
