Oh Lord!
I'm having a really hard time healing the end game dungeons as a WHM. I don't think it's the dungeons themselves but I can't seem to keep up with the enormous pulls (10+ mobs.) When the tank is finished his pull (despite me having SS on him), he'll be at like 100 hp and it's so hard to keep him alive.
I use Presence of mind, divine seal, etc. but I'm just spamming Cure 2 to the point where I go from full to OOM in what feels like 30 seconds. It feels like I'm not actually healing him because his HP is still basically the same it seems. It's like what I heal is instantly getting taken away. I tell my parties that I'm new to the dungeon but that makes no impression. We wipe only do to the trash. Boss are easy peasy.
How do I heal with these huge pulls? Dear Lord! Please help me. ;_; I haven't even tried the hard mode dungeons. I thought the normal level 50 dungeons would be a good starting place but apparently not. Halp! Halp! Halp!

What is your ilevel?
I'm at ilvl 99 (isn't high by today's standard) and I can probably heal through big pulls up to snowcloak/warn/seagrot but any higher I might have issue.
Yes spamming cure ii is how I usually deal with it (cure i wont cut it). Swiftcast + holy can also help a little because of stun.

Just get better gear, OP. There's only so much skill will do for you. I mean, I am all for pushing the limits and do think things are skill-based rather than gear-based, but I just lodestoned you and you have a ilvl 55 weapon with your MND at a grand total of 500. For you to heal efficiently with this gear, the pulls will need to be swift and the tanks need to be on their game with the cooldowns.
You can also get into the habit of Holying - this not only boosts the speed at which stuff dies but will help you with the damage mitigation as your Holies will stun NPCs thrice in a row before they become stun immune.
Get a better weapon first and foremost, this will be the gamechanger.

Well, it's mostly not your fault. If you're new, then they shouldn't be doing those large pulls. First of all, is the tank a decent player? Meaning, he/she dodges aoe, not just pull and take all the damage, did the tank even use defensive buffs at all? Second are the tank's gears decent? Third, did you have aoe dps classes in ur group? Aoe classes kill mobs faster thus requires less healing. Fourth, are your gears decent? They musnt do large pulls if the healer's hp is only about 4000.
Did you use regen? Do you have eye for an eye? Remember benediction.
Remember to bring x ether and the skill shroud of saints heals ur mp, about 800.
Also, be confident. You'll get the hang of it after few runs. Good luck.

The Tank when they do the initial pulls should be getting threat on all of them by that i mean hitting them so their names go red. They should also be popping a CD so they take less damage along with your stoneskin so gather everything together. On really big pulls Eye for an Eye also helps a lot. When he gathers everything together you want to be in cleric stance then pop presence of mind and swiftcast and use holy. This will stun everything wait a second then holy again to get the next stun and holy 1-2 more times use shorud take off cleric stance pop divine seal cure II and regen on Tank you can add medica II if needed because stuff is slow to die. Cleric stance holy holy holy till dead. Sometimes if you have benediction you can just stay in cleric stance and holy until Tank is low then heal them to full.
It does take some practice and if you are using DF each group will be different but once you have done a dungeon a few times and know the mob orders you can carry any Tank in there even a poor one. Better gear helps with doing more damage and healing more but it's mostly about knowing when you can DPS and when heals are needed. Just remember sometimes mitigation and stuns are sometimes better than panic healing with cure II.

It takes practice, but i assure you with 500 mind, it's more than possible.
Don't regen anything until the tank has pulled into position. Holy spam a few times, divine seal cure II like crazy. Something i like to do sometimes is holy until the tank is almost dead then benediction and holy some more.
Ultimately, a dungeon goes as smoothly as a healer can heal, despite tanks thinking they can rush through everything. If it comes to it, there's no shame in just asking for half pulls while you get the hang of it. Speed runs aren't for everyone.

Just the other day in Halatali hard, tank pulls everything and its mother and I couldn't keep up, he even lost a few mobs here and there and we wiped. Told him to pull less and he did. You can tell them to do half pulls, I know when I get overwhelmed I can't focus. At least with managable pulls I could help DPS with holy and heal.

agree with what everyone said.
Better weapon. At least the i70 weapon you can get on the market board. (looks like a flower) if not get the Yagrush and unweather ASAP
let the tank pull agro, get a couple of hits in then regen. devine seal and presence of mind + cure 2 until you get the tank back. Anticipate hits if you can.
If you are about to lose the tank, benediction-> regen -> swiftcast+regen II (I know its an aoe heal, but it casts another regen on the thank. and at this point the tank should have a nice handle on agro)---> shroud of saints and carry on with your cure/cureII.
this is what I do and Never pull agro and have only let one tank die on me ever. (when in DD the tank pulled the entire first floor LOL biggest pull I have ever seen...ever lol)
ps. make sure your not accidentaly in cleric, it can/has happened and absolutely recks your heals.

Some good tips have been given above, but most concerning is a tank wrapping up their pull with 100 HP. This indicates to me that the tank may have taken a nap along the way and allowed mobs to catch up, and not used any mitigation at the start of the battle. If this is the case, a wipe is more likely the tank's fault, though with a timely benediction you can turn it around. It's not just your role to heal all this damage, it's also up to the tank to make sure they've secured aggro in a rapid fashion and that they're taking as little damage as possible, especially in the beginning of the pull where all mobs are alive and the most damage is incoming.
Practice what's been said here, and don't forget Holy's mitigation, it can make or break some pulls, and don't get down if you make some mistakes. Most of the pressure's on you, so take any wipes as a learning experience and figure out what went down so you can avoid it next time.

Okay! Got my new weapon. I am trying to get my alchemy up to 50 (40 atm) so I thought I'd put the materia on that and use whatever I got after I turned it in (relic quest) but I got a level 70 weapon now. =) Did Copperbell Mines HM. It wasn't bad. Some wipes but three out of four of us were new so there were no massive pulls. Got the minion! w00t! XD~
I did try the holy thing (wait a moment, regen, CS, SC, holy several times, off CS and heal if needed.) There were no deaths due to that so that was good too. I'll try to work those in more. And Benediction. I have to remember Benediction!
