Hello,
I have a few different game pad models all that are recognized by the PC and FF14 but I can't get them to work. When I try to go through the calibration process, FF lists the device but when I try to actually go through the calibration nothing happens, any movement/button presses don't appear to be detected.
I'm some what new to game pad setup on a pc , but they do work in other games just not ff 14, am I skipping some important set up step?
If I remember right you have to toggle game controller input as it defaults to mouse and keyboard. Been a few years since I last installed so a bit foggy on the menus and don't have access ATM to look at the screens. Might be on the config screen before you launch the lobby screen (the logo screen that plays the FF theme).
For a hassle free experience just use a 360 controller.
I tried to use my ps4 controller but I would have had to jump through a bunch of hoops to get it to work. If you're using windows all you have to do is plug your 360 controller in and start playing.
Xbox One controller works fine here.
If you're trying to use ps3/4 controller, you likely need another program.
Every game I've tried required MotionInJoy for PlayStation controller.
