Something I'm getting fed up with

For a while now, I've been trying to get through Sunken Temple of Qarn NM as WAR (synced at 37), and with every group I'm thrown in with, there are 1 or more new players and I'm always getting wiped during the Terrotaur battle, as well as helping to get rid of adds too. I left twice today, and the healer left in the process, leaving myself and 2 dps.

By the way, this is for the 'Rock Solid Protection' quest on the 2.1 storyline. Apart from the fc helping out, I might as well use party finder.

Everyone starts somewhere & those new people need all the help and advice they can get, dropping out is bad form imo. This is what makes people disrespect others, So if you're going to do something make sure you see it through instead of abandoning them.

Explaining the important parts of a fight once doesn't take too much of your time. Then it depends on the kind of people you're queued up with; are they able to listen to the important stuff, adapt and beat the fight, or are they inept and keep failing repeatedly? If they keep failing, then I can't blame you for leaving. If you don't explain the important stuff, though, you shouldn't be surprised that they won't get it right from the start.

Every time I get to this dungeon I always pause before the first boss to make sure everyone knows the mechanics, and what to do. If someone does not, then I will go into detail to make sure that the new people are 100% clear on what they need to do so that we clear the encounter with minimal difficulty. Most of the time I'll be the tank these days, so the rest of the party has no choice but to let me explain. :)

Whenever I do that dungeon I always explain eeeverything if someone is new. We usually get out okay. I recall tanking it about 30-40 times across PLD and WAR with near full explanations for everything every time.

Well, on one occaision, I got kicked out (or dismissed), despite getting told to aoe (which I was trying to do).

I was hoping to tell healer to keep his/her distance and dps handle the adds, whilst I keep aggro on the Terrotaur beast itself, in the room its in. Is that the right way?

If you were getting kicked, you may have been saying it in a way that bothered the other party members.

Nobody should be DPSing Terrotaur when the bees are up, so you aren't going to lose aggro on it. Pick up the bees and kill them ASAP. Especially if you're with bad DPS, they need to die fast.

You need to stand on the platform that was glowing orange when you get the growl message. I believe it's insta-death if you don't.

I'm wrong disregard this.
