Dismissed players rejoining the same party

Suggestion:

Don't allow players that were recently dismissed/kicked from a party in a duty to be able to rejoin that same party. They voted to be dismissed for a reason, so why are they allowed to rejoin that very same party?



Without going into details I was recently verbally harassed in a low level haukke manor dungeon while leveling. Despite the person being dismissed by a majority vote, they continued to harass me by purposely requeueing for specifically haukke manor in progress as a healer to jump right back in. Unfortunately there's a 4 hour time limit on being able to vote. So another party dismissed them again. Only that same person joined only seconds later again. Eventually I had to drop group because this person would not leave and would continue to come back. I even got the leaving penalty. But I think it's a broken system that someone who was kicked from a party can rejoin that very same party.

You may want to report him because he were harassing you and on top of that, he were abusing of a system feature in order to do that.

Abusing of a system feature in order to accomplish things against the ToS is a given account suspension and on some cases may lead to a permanent ban.

He may be abusing the system, but I know of MANY times in which players will abuse vote kick. Fixing one side of the argument without addressing both problems will just make matters worse.

This happened to me, I did a report and a GM responded in like 5 minutes to permanently remove them from the instance due to them keep rejoining and not actually doing any actions. (They acted like they were on strike due to us kicking them for abusing us). 1 min later a replacement healer joined that wasn't the person being kicked.

Adding to this post, another smart move would've been to wait like 5-10 minutes or so before looking for another healer.

Theres a fix for OP's situation. Upon kicking a virulent player, the leader should wait 2min-4mins before hitting "find new members" that way, the troll will be put in another dungeon.

In the cases of OP, its usuallya tank or healer rejoining over and over again. Since both those roles tend to be in high demand, if you wait 2min-4mins before finding new members, theres a very good chance that troll will be placed with another group.

The solution is there, people just need to know about it, spread the word.

thats a good idea as well waiting a few minutes then hit refresh party. Also lol ur sig made me squash my monitor :(

I had this happen in Sastasha HM once to myself. It was fairly late at night so despite waiting a few minutes between each search, we still ended up with the same tank 3 times.

He wouldn't use an Oath (he was a PLD), would pull until he died or ran out of places to run, and the whole time he was spamming Rick Roll lyrics into the party chat. We ended up disbanding, so no one got a penalty. This has only ever happened to me once before and I'm glad I've only had one experience like this (though I do believe getting the same tank 3 times despite waiting several minutes in between was by far the most shitty luck I've ever had).

I do believe there should be a way to disallow the same player from returning to the same party after a vote dismiss. I for one have been kicked from a party for no reason and requeued into the same party and that was an awkwardly uncomfortable situation on its own (that's what I get for having "Queue in Progress" checked when I do my roulettes I suppose, lol).

The vote kick abuse is crazy with some new tanks I'm healing lower dungeon I keep dotting and stone 2 monsters and keeping the tank alive and this guy says to just stick to healing as it's not my job to dps... and then after first boss he issues a vote kick on me because I was helping to make the dungeon faster and note he was never in any danger of dying

This happened to me last year, around August. The tank, right at the beginning of the dungeon (Aurum Vale,) refused to start the duty because I was on Lancer instead of Dragoon. I told him that, quite simply, it was my personal choice to do this and it would not hinder our ability to complete the duty. He still refused, and after about 5 minutes of sitting and doing nothing, we kicked him.

He immediately came back. Unfortunately, the party just wanted to get started, so when he initiated a vote to kick me, out I went.

I reported the abuse to GMs, not sure if anything ever came of it.
