Ranting of a disappointed player (?)

So I decided to recently return to the game, with the intention of preparing for Heavensward. Great deal and all right? That is until I forget that there's some few individuals that are just... completely brain-dead or just mentally incapable of understanding the game by 35+. My apologies if I'm 'flaming' or something but I feel the need to relate and/or rant to... SOMEONE, so people at least understand how frustrating it is to deal with that kind of behavior.

WHM - Basically thought he was a DPS and kept using stone every chance he got instead of healing me.

BLM - Trigger happy finger on LB button. Used it every chance he got, even at Lv 1 at the beginning of the boss.

BRD - Ignored my numbered targets and drew aggro needlessly for the entire run.

Is this a common thing to deal with nowadays in game? :/

You can't mention people's names in threads like this. I would recommend just taking some time to calm down.

I dunno if I'd call it "Common", though it does happen. If it gets to be too bad, my suggestion is to get in touch with some friends (or find some friends) in-game to run the dungeons with.

WHM: If it caused you to die, yes, you're right to complain. But, a skilled healer can keep their party from dying with plenty of time and MP to spare - and a healer who's skilled enough to recognise those safe downtimes and use them to swap into doing damage? They're actually the good healers. Again, though - if it caused you to be wiping, that's another matter.

BLM: Frankly, there's little reason to sit on a limit break gauge (slightly more with casters as there are preferable timings to bust it out, such as adds during bosses, but still). I don't think all bosses even let the LB gauge in 4-man content go up to level 2, and an LB not used is gauge building wasted. If your compalint is "My DPS actually used the LB", I can think of a hundred things your DPS can do worse than that. Like not using it. You know how many DPS don't use LBs, especially in pre-50 content? A lot.

BRD: Okay yeah, kind of a pain in the neck.

Cause you know. You're name shaming them, and that's a huge no-no.

Yeah, I've been leveling WAR on an alt and the new batch of DPS coming up are like "I'm just gonna target whatever mob I feel like." Very frustrating.
