Im sure if the ps 3 version comes out it will have trophies at the moment you can see what you have acomplished in the lodestone , would adding the system in game give player some goals to do?
Also some of these in modern games tend to be really bad bcause they are so pointless ,
i still wonder why i shot a gnome into space in halflife 2 , was i just crazy or something?
I'd love to see an in game interface for achievements. I know a lot of people would probably argue against achievement systems for a variety of reasons, but having goals are nice. Even if the goals are simple like completing 500 leves, they're still goals.
I enjoy the occasional bout of trophy hunting. I like looking at my achievements on ffxivpro and seeing how I rank against others. Obviously, ffxivpro pulls that information from the lodestone, so it would be great if they could organize some sort of similar ranking system on the lodestone itself. Maybe once there are significant things to give trophies for, we could see some in-game representation for them (ie a dragon's head to display inside player housing once it exists, if it ever will.)
One thing's for sure, I hope that FFXIV's PS3 trophies are nothing like FFXI's. Get every job to cap...blah blah blah.
Yes, and I would like to even see them pop up in game as a way of having them stand out even more, right now I go to the history and find out that I unlocked one, if they showed these off more it would be exciting. :)
Achievements viewable in game are great. More achievements should be added than the ones in the lodestone and they should be creative (i.e not all about capping a class).
I totally agree with that. Trophies sorted and various as in Starcratf 2 for example ! Why not exploring all camps and cristals, or killing every mobs ? Would be cool ! :)

They have very little achievements right now and some cap off. So far there is: Enemies killed, Most gil from leve, Regional/Local leves complete, Camps, Fractions, NMs, Quests, Guildskills.
They also list things like when you hit 20-25-30-35 etc on any class an achivement but imo I dont think they count. Maybe rank 50 like XI's achivement was level 75.
