They don't care about cool effects or mechanics or even overall job strength/balance. To them, no planet-sized egis = summoner is a waste of a job and Yoshida has personally insulted each and every one of them to the very depths of their being.

Apparently they talked about giving carbuncle back, maybe they plan on putting new egis as skins only ?
