That laptop is about 1.3k don't know how much he payed for it but that how much it cost. Pretty good Laptop :)

I paid $1,700 for it - I had the stock CPU upgraded from a I7 2630QM to a I7 2720QM (didn't want to go over 1.8k)
Bought the 120GB Vertex 3 SSD for $199 - um definitely worth it. Big improvement in FFXIV performance.
So spent $1,900 after all in all.

Multisampling: 8x CSAA
Gen Draw Quality: 9
Background Draw: 5
Shadow: Standard (shadows in this game are meh on any level so no need to add more stress than needed.
DOF: on
Ambient Occ: off (obviously)
Texture Quiality: High
Texture Filtering: High

No lag :) only place it sometimes gets jittery is in Ul'Dah, go figure.

How the temp and stuff? i hope you have a cooling system for it :) laptop can get hot lol what am i saying the game make about any PC go up in temp not every video card but some.

that the same setting i'm playing i can play higher but no reason to go above Standard for Gen Draw Quality,Background Draw i can't tell a dam diff at least without a pic of someone showing then i see it so no need if i can't really tell :)

I haven't downloaded a program yet to monitor it but, the outside of the computer doesn't get hot
and the heat only really starts kicking out after about an hour and a half.
But like you said, any computer screams playing this game lol.
