Idea for WHM/SCH
I have two ideas for WHM and SCH skills. The skill for WHM is actually present in quite a few of the FF titles, this being Auto-Life. In FFXIV it would be a castable buff upon one party member or the WHM itself. It'll have a duration of thirty minutes, similar to the protect skill, however it can only be cast out of combat. Upon dying the buffed player will automatically be raised exactly as the current raise skill works, regaining a percentage of their HP/MP. This could already be in the works, I would hope that WHM gets more buff skills down the road.
The SCH skill is called Life Split. Life Split is an instant cast ability, with no MP cost that raises a fallen party member, how it works is that it splits the SCH's current HP, whether they are at full health or at fifty percent. The split difference is transferred to the resurrected party member. The skill would require tactical thinking in it's operation, if the SCH life splits at the wrong moment, it could spell death for both players. If the no MP cost seems Over powered, then it can simply be fixed with a several minute cooldown.

Life split seems murderously OP. As a SCH player, a second instant res, that costs something my fairy will get me back in seconds, just seems too good.

Good ideas, with good attempts at balance. But it does sound a little overpowered, healers can get their hp back so fast that cutting in half would be no big deal, kind of like red mages convert in ffxi, drop your hp for massive mp then instantly heal it all back

OP,
Really dig the Reraise(what it was called in FFFXI) idea, i was thinking about a ability like that while i was in a dungeon on WHM yesterday. Bet SE has plans for this already and are biding their time on when to add it.
I think your idea about the secondary raise for SCH seems interesting too. If the SCH where to share their HP and the recipient's weakness i think it would work. You'd have to really think about when to use it and when to deal with a regular rez.
