Yeah it's becoming a huge issue on Behemoth right now. The process of declining a friends request and blocking the person is very inconvenient. I can tolerate the /tell spam to some degree but the friends requesting is intolerable and unacceptable. Once it starts happening I need to put busy up or face the consequences.
Please explain how an OPTIONAL and toggleable auto-decline of all friend requests is a bad thing? Then explain how turning it on does "more harm than good" when 99% of all friend requests are gold spammers with a badly written URL as a name.
SE shouldve added this (among other anti-spam measures) a long time ago...
Or you could just get 200 friends and cap the friends list then they can't send friend request and if you want to add a new friend just delete one of the 200.
I'm getting close to this point. I have about 40 friend requests waiting on confirmation, almost all with the same first name coincidentally. After that builds up to cap my friend list, I'll wait a week or two to make sure those people don't log back in, then accept them all.
There should be an option to turn off friend requests or something else to block those ridiculous friend requests from all those gold sellers. It's really annoying lately.
Somehow I haven't noticed. Gotten like 4 or 5 rmt friend requests total. Not callin you a liar or w/e, maybe we just play at different hours or something, but neither of us can really speak with any authority regarding the overall server trends.
It is still annoying how many needless clicks and menus there are for declining, though. Not sure why they haven't changed that.
