Thank God, no more doing leve just because reset timer is coming..
Thank god, I can repeatedly get that ONE high level crafting leve over and over! =P
In all seriousness though it sounds pretty awesome, especially the evaluation and super bonus round leve.
D: maximum of 99!?!?
I have mixed feelings about this. On the other hand I'm glad that they're removing part of this artificial gameplay restriction but then again I thought they wanted to make this game be about something other than just leves.
Maybe next year when they've done the major revisions to broken gameplay systems the future direction of XIV will be more clear when they can focus on new content and we'll see what kind of content that will be.
Quote:
・ Players will receive an allowance of four leves every 12 hours (Earth time), up to maximum of 99.
・ The allowance will be shared amongst regional, local, and faction leves.
Correction:
Current system is 5.3 leves per 12 hours... so the reduction to 4 is nowhere near as drastic as my initial miscalculation. ^^;

Original post:
4 leves every 12 earth hours ... that's 1/3 of what we have now.
Currently we have 8 regional battle/gathering/faction leves + 8 local crafting leves every 16 hours... Scaling that down to the new 12 hour period for comparison, that's 12 leves every 12 hours.
That's a pretty big reduction!
um currently we have 8+8 every 36hours, next patch we'll have 12 every 36hours. Only lose 4 leves, but in exchange you can get more SP/36hour if you are focused into one class.
We still haven't seen how the XP gained from chains and enemy links is, not to mention they are outright revamping XP rewards from enemies. It should be more rewarding to counterbalance that now that we are getting less leves as a whole. I'm personally hoping dungeon xp gains a lot of ground.
Also: hurray for retries when you dc =)
