I don't know if it has been officially stated or not, hopefully I can get an answer here. What are we going to do with our tomes, especially for 3.0? Is there going to be another conversion system? Do they just disappear since we will already have 2 tomes in 3.0? (Although one of those tomes won't be released for a month.) Honestly, I want them to just get rid of the cap for them, but that's not my call. I really just want to know what is going to happen to them.

Well, seeing as they are used for level 50 stuff i can see soldier staying for all existing i100/110 gear, maybe even poetics For 120/130 so you have an easier time leveling up.
But in the end we will have to wait it out - and yes, i would like the poetics cap removed as well and gear all my classes, but meh - ill do that in 3.0 on the fly, people have to deal with my crappy i110 jobs then xD -

HOnetly, I can see them just having soldiery & poetics items dropping in the 3.0 dungs.
Of course there will be people who do not get the expansion when it comes out. For them I guess the Soldiery and Poetic will remain (maybe). -

why would sol and poe remain.. even if you don't get xpac there will be a massive update for so much stuff,
so if they bump poe to sols position and introduce a new tome it will just be like before, wont need xpac for that.
just because youll need xpac for most stuff don't think for a second anyone who doesn't get it will be locked out of everything. for one are they just not gonna see the new classes ever.?? of course not that would make no sense. -

Anyone that does not buy the expansion will not have access to ANY new content contained within the expansion. There's a reason the new level cap is listed as part of what you're buying with the expansion on the back of the box. The only things non-buyers will get to enjoy are updates to existing content such as changes to housing or old dungeons/trials/raids.Quote:

Why does anything need converting/changing? Just keep everything as they are, so if people want to get gear for cosmetic purposes, the methods are there to do so.
All that would need to change would be daily rewards for our current tomes to scale to the current relevant tomes upon hitting level 60. That's all that needs to change. -
