Just wondering, how would a 1vs1 be if...

You could swap jobs at will during the fight?

Since this is a PvE centered game with tons of Lore things tying up PvP creating a terrible imbalance in relation of a class against another to a point in which a perfect balance would be nearly impossible to achieve...

how do you think a 1vs1 duel like this would be from your PvP veteran point of view?

Of course with limitations like No Cross-class skills, possitive buffs wiping on swap, no reset of used cooldowns, only 3 jobs...

Oh well, you get the gist of it...

Couldnt be possible tho... possitive buffs of the individual class would wipe out on class swap... this encompasses stuff like Protect, Stone Skin, Regen, Blood for Blood, Internal Release, etc... and well, even if it were to be pulled off thats one heck of a pianist, and could be perfectly done by the contrincant party as well :/

in which case you are still fullswinging and storms eyeing the target, then switching to dragoon to do a full burst with the potential of just healing yourself to full instantly

To be frank, this would be silly. I can't imagine this working out in an even remotely fun way.

It would imitate the FF like FFXIII: LR, where you switch amond ability set.
It would be funny if with differents small active battleground solo or duo and maybe with special class for pvp, very simplied and with a little range of skill.

This would have an insanely high skill cap and learning curve to the point that 80% of players wouldn't bother with it.

Bring on the Onion Knight/Mime Job and have those 1vs1, that I would like to see

Doing a skill set swap thingy like in some other games doesn't work very good for this one, and not only that, but, you would have the power players, and the 'guides', wherein if you don't have your character set an exact specific way (the exact same way as everyone else in the game) you're automatically 'doing it wrong'. So I don't think it would work ever! It sounds REALLY fun though.

hmmmmm i would love to see :

- 1v1 same jobs matches. ( Drg vs Drg ) . ( Nin Vs Nin ) . ( PLD VS PLD ) . ( Bard vs Bard ). ( Blms vs Blm ). ( whm vs whm .... hmmmmm not sure about this one )
- 6 mins long
- respawn after death and continue fighting
- when time up, whoever with most kills win.
