i can see some merit in that idea. i would make it an item tax that required a level 50 side quest to gain. the side quest would unlock a special item slot called a Symbosis crystal. you can only have one Symbosis crystal equipped at a time, but what they do, is they allow you to level a predetermined class instead of the class you were playing, but take a hit to their durability for every level that class gains, whether a combat, gathering or crafting class. the item's cost would be measured in grand company seals and only works if the class is lower level than your own
you would be limited in how many symbosis crystals you can own at a time, like say 15. and while they can be any class of any disciple type. with only 1 of each class type. meaning you can power level classes you need for a skill but don't actually want to play as. it doesn't let you do this to all the classes. this makes leveling crafting classes easier for people who want to gear alts but don't want to sift through a crafting grind, and makes endgame materia easier to acquire, which are positive changes. because i can't think of anyone who wants to perpetually do constant leves as a disciple of the land or hand, or even constant sprite farming, when an experience share item could be a better solution. for the classes people need skills or resources from but don't want to sit through the grind of doing leves and fates for.
