Feedback about various topics

As per the Support Desk's suggestion, I would like to pass on the following, which I think could use some "re-consideration".

I did not read the forums, so please pardon me if any of the topics have already been taken into account.

1) Whenever playing in a duty, players can NOT place other players on the Black List. When players try again to place other players on the Black List AFTER the duty, it says that "that player can not be found." The only thing that shows when selecting another player during a duty, is "Target". It seems that the Support Desk is unaware of this issue.

2) When a player is in a duty, whenever a "Gm" is trying to contact that player at that particular time, that player can see the Gm's text, but it seems that the Gm can NOT see that player's text. Even when manually creating a 'tell' to that Gm, the Gm still seems not to be able to receive any form of messages from anyone present in a duty.

So to give clarification during a duty can NOT be done. Also, the Gm doesn't seem to be aware that that player is in a duty. Till this day, the Support Desk does not seem to be aware of this issue. The only thing that the Gm seems to be receiving about that player is, "Not available."

3) In a duty, when a player uses the feature, "Vote Dismiss", no one, no other member of the party, and/or the other alliances, and/or any member of the other Alliances, including the player that the Vote Dismiss was commenced against, receives a notification about who?...commenced the Vote Dismiss.

This brings up 2 issues;

3.1: The player that commenced the Vote Dismiss, can in case of abusive use, by no means be reported, since no one knows who commenced it.
3.2: There can be no means for the player that the Vote Dismiss was commenced against, to apply for appeal.

To this day, it seems that the Support Desk is unaware of this issue.

4) After playing for a few months now, hearing other players complain about it, experiencing it myself on countless occasions, asking other players on what system they were when it occurred, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, or PC, I can clarify for a %100, that for the %80 of the time that a player plays 'Final Fantasy XIV a Realm Reborn' to this day, does not matter on which system, PS3, PS4, and/or PC, all "Area of Effects" across the entire game, hit players in some cases even well outside the "Area of Effect".

To explain this more clearly: An AoE shows. You run to evade it, your player is clearly out of the AoE. The AoE still shows. Tens of seconds AFTER the player is out of the AoE, the AoE vanishes, the effect shows... ...and the player gets hit.

This occurs on the server, Leviathan (NA). I do not know if it occurs on other servers as well, since I have not been on any other. I do know that it occurs on all systems, with all kinds of AoEs all across the game.

It is my understanding to believe that to this day, the Support Desk is unaware of this issue.

Welcome to the forums ! You can bypass the character limit by editing your post. This way, you don;t have to make multiple posts for your topic.

1. When you are in an instance, you are on a completely separate server and this is why you cannot blacklist anyone. You also cannot send /tells or perform friend invites/deletes. This is by design unfortunately,

2. Probably the same as my first answer, as you cannot send /tells in an instance. GM should know this. Whether or not you CAN receive a /tell from a GM in an instance is unknown to me though.

3. Vote dismiss is that way for a few reasons and I don't think that this will change. I quite like how you can't see WHO has commenced the vote dismiss. The good thing about it is that other people have to vote as well. So chances are if someone is trolling, the majority of the party is going to deny the request and move on. I've run into this quite a few times and after being denied the person usually leaves and we get a replacement/s. An appeal is unnecessary, as your appeal is your vote, or your plea in /party or /a asking others to vote no.

4. It sounds like lag? Firstly, what system do you play on? What is your internet connection like? Do you use any VPN service? Where are you located, geographically?
I think mostly players experience this to some degree. Some worse than others, but there are numerous reasons as to why this is.

i can say it is absoluly impossible to dodge some aoes on a bad system (my old ps3). on my ps4 i can dodge everything. you get hit because of the delay from your system to the server. remember: the server lives around 1 second in the past. if your hardware is bad you will have a bigger delay. there is a delay from your system to your screen too (most TV's have a "game" option in the settings btw wich shortens the delay).
