Camera Panning and Character Control Issues
Today I've been having issues with the camera and it only affects this game. Well, it's not solely camera issues, but movement issues as well.
To start, I play on PC. I use mouse and keyboard. When I'm not touching the mouse or keyboard, the camera pans until it stops at an overhead view of the character, then slowly rotates counter-clockwise.
I can't use the A & S keys to turn the character, nor can I use the mouse buttons to adjust the camera view. It's acting as if I'm pressing the down arrow key, because even the map image moves and I can't just drag it back to its proper spot.
Even when I hook up a controller, I can adjust the camera angle, but as soon as I stop touching the analog sticks, the camera goes back to panning to a top-down view of my character's head and rotating counter-clockwise.
I have tried to find similar cases in the hopes for some sort of fix, but I was only able to find this thread from nearly two years ago with the exact same issue.
I took all the measures that this individual did, plus fiddling with power management settings in device manager. But, so far, nothing has helped. My guess is that it isn't a common occurrence, but it does happen.
I don't know if it just resolved itself simply due to passage of time, or if it's a conflict the client was having with mouse, keyboard and 360 controller (even though I have had the lot connected to the PC at the same time with no issue until today) but the issue went away for now. But it's not the first time, nor do I suspect it'll be the last, that my controls had gone wonky. If it is a conflict, I hope that, in the future, that someone will see this and give disconnecting their gamepad (if they have one hooked up to their PC) a try.
