Hi everyone,
I quit this game about a year ago because of some old FC issues as well as friends quitting. I decided to start playing the game again however i don't really know which server i should join. My old server Zalera seems to be quite dead compared to many others. I'm looking for a positive/social community and people willing to make groups.
If you'd like...you should give Hyperion a try. I haven't really found too much of negative people around there. If you need help you can find me there. I wouldn't mind it :D
Hmmm. I tend to recommend staying away from very high population servers as, for various reasons, you could have issues. I myself play on Leviathan but I have been on there since beta phase two. Things to consider when doing transfers are these:
1. Peek hours tend to make it difficult to very difficult because of world being full. If you must be on a higher population server do the transfer as early as possible.
2. Consider your goals carefully. If you are into roleplaying as opposed to raiding or otherwise "battle content" think of Balmung or Gilgamesh depending on where you live on the planet :)
3. Sadly you will never escape negativity. It is especially prevalent in duty finder. But you can't fix stupid so take it with a grain of salt and enjoy yourself as best as you can.

I transfered to coeurl a few months ago and the community is pretty cool there.
I really want to get in to battle content , but Gilgamesh seems to be always unable to make charectors. I've tried for 3 days at different times.
Currently i'm in Faeirie cuz a friend started here but i dunno if its a great server for what i'm looking for. The community is nice from what i can see so far.
Balmung is difficult to get on to, but very active and (and least from my perspective) very friendly. There's a pretty decently big endgame scene on the server as well. If you're in the US, I recommend trying to get in around 4am on a weekday, but not Friday.
All that said any server will likely have people you can get along with. But the biggest ones have quite a bit of PF activity and it can be easier in general to find people to do content with.
