Hang on "Now Loading" when attempting to log-in with character

I am getting stuck on the "Now Loading" screen after I select my character to log into the game. The problem first occurred when I was entering an instanced zone. The game hung on the black loading screen to change sessions, I waited about 15 mins, then forced a game exit and now I can't log in with that character. I can create new characters and log-in/play without issue, but I'd like to continue playing my main. This is the second time this happened, the first time I deleted the character and started new as I was only lv5.

Any help is greatly appreciated, I have a support ticket out but haven't heard back.

Bump. Anyone have any advice here? It feels server side as far as I can tell, as I can log-in with other characters and play without issue. I think the issue arises when I attempt to enter an instance, the instance won't load (hangs on black loading screen), then when I re-log it continues to dump me into the instance that won't load (then hangs on "Now Loading" screen.

I'm new to the game and was enjoying it, but this kinda think leaves a sour taste.

I'm stuck in the same boat as you. Happened to me last night on Gilgamesh when attempting to zone into the Chocobo racing area.

Edit: Found something saying this can be related to bad install. I'm re-installing my game and will let you know if it worked when I get home from work.

Reinstalling the game fixed it for me. Good luck man.

Its common to not be able to log in on the same character foe a little while because the game still has not logged the avatar out. Depending on lag it can take a few minutes.
