If anyone could shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated.
What will become of our Zodiac Zeta weapons in 3.0? Will they be used to be upgraded further and become more powerful, or will they be done away with, with new Relic Weapons?!

No one knows yet. Anything anyone tells you is pure speculation.
Really all that they have said is if you have your finished relic, it will give you a boost in the expansion.
They haven't said what that means.
No one does, to be blunt. The only thing that has been said "officially" is that players who have completed the Zodiac quest line will be given "consideration" in 3.0. No one even knows what they mean by that, and anyone who adds to it, is again, simply speculating. I would keep checking back here, though. As soon as something official is announced, these forums will light up like a Christmas tree...lol
IDK, I'm just happy I got it today for my birthday :)
I was just trying to let you know that before people chime in and say it will be a "viable weapon until level 55" or a "base to start your new relic weapon off of" ...or any other speculation, that no one truly knows anything. Consideration...it could be simply a title. A minion, You may be able to hang it on your wall. No one knows yet. :)
Except they didn't even say that. They simply said people who have finished the relic quest line will be "taken into consideration". That's all they said.. those three words. It doesn't necessarily mean a boost in the expansion, or a shortcut in the new quest, or a stat advantage, etc.. it just means whatever "taken into consideration" means to them.
For example, if they allow you to trade in your old relic for a weapon ornament to hang on an interior wall of an in-game house you'll likely never own because of plot availability issues, then they have fulfilled their promise of taking your effort into consideration.
