DPS conundrum

I'm new to MMO's, I rolled a PLD on one server, and then I recently came back to the game and was planning on rolling a Nin. I finally unlocked the Nin's abilities but realized it was very overwhelming with all the Mudras and other things to keep track of. On top of that, every video I watch says you should also level a lancer to 30 to get blood for blood.

My delima is I only have the story line invested in this character, and as this is my first dps character ever on an MMO is there an easier dps character to learn out there. I play with an MMO mouse (12 numbers) and a ps4 controller ( I like the movement better than a keyboard) I'm debating about creating a new character and going for a bard maybe... Just need opinions with people who have played longer than me.

Yeah brd is pretty beginner friendly. You'll still want to level lnc to 34 for blood for blood, but you don't really need to worry about crossclass skills til you have a lvl 50.

You'll probably be better off just picking up archer on your current character rather than restarting though.

There's no need to create a brand new character. Your character can level any class and change to whatever class whenever you want. I recommend getting to 50 first so that way, you get 50% bonus exp when leveling a new class. You get used to using your class skills the more you play the class so you'll become better.

Bard is generally easier if you want an easier class to play. You will want to level lancer to at least 34 to get blood for blood so you can do more damage.

Just to clarify, you don't actually need to be lvl 50 to get the bonus exp. You get bonus exp on any class that is lower than your highest leveled class (for combat classes). So if your highest is lvl 30, then all combat classes will get +50% xp until lvl 30.

Yes you can play every class on 1 character. Just go to the respective class guild and they'll give you a weapon. I'd highly recommend keeping your lvl 50.
