reinstalling FFXIV:ARR?
So I went to re install FFXIV:ARR, when I got this little message.

Pretty much every other game I have ever had to re install has just kept all the old files for a faster install, so is this thing serious when it says it will delete everything and start from scratch?

Not much of a option yes or no, if you really want to keep the data you can just move the data folder to a different location on your comptuer, not like it needed if you reinstalling.
-
Guess it depends on why you are re-installing as to whether you want to keep those old files or not. That's not your character data that is getting deleted, just the game's executables and data files. Your character data and such are nested in your My Documents/My Games folder (just as a precaution though, you may want to back those folders up..I do it occasionally just in case). If you are re-installing because you suspect the game's files are corrupted, then you'd want to delete them anyway.

mostly re installing cause WTFast AMD gaming evolved and other similar programs can't find 14, it runs fine just would like to be able to use these things with it
-
with WTFast, I just boot it up first then boot up the game... that's what it initially said to do if it couldn't find the files. It runs just fine, too.
It's too much of a hassle to reinstall all 20 GB and if you're installing it to the same path anyway, what makes you think it'll find the files then?

well the HDD FF14 is on used to be my boot drive that was what it was downloaded too, sooo now that so called HDD is now D Drive, instead of C, it seems to be causing some issues with things. Which is why i think just re installing it would fix all of these issues
