Skill Speed and Monk - Is there a number or no?

Just curious. I seem to recall, a long long time ago, there being a magic number to aim for in terms of Skill Speed and monk. Since I'm not sure if that's still the case, or if it's really just a matter of preference?

I main war, where it's all about 376+ and yer 9hit, so curious if I should be aiming for, or avoiding the stat, as I know Bards tend to avoid it when able due to TP concerns.

Currently my monk is at 417 now, but not quite where it'll be when I finish fleshing it out. Assuming I'm aiming for Ariyala's BIS, it'll be 385 - http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/Monk

No magic number. Just a personal preference. Obviously you can get high enough that it becomes an issue, but there's not a number where it's going to make or break the class. Being extremely low can prevent some openers, but that's not that big of a deal since you can easily change that up a bit to compensate.

I think about 365 is the cutoff point to where you can't keep gl3 up if you PB > Snap > IR > Snap > B4B > Demo > Pot > DK > Twin > BS > True > Demo as your opener... Anything else is preference.

If you Demo as your third move under PB then you don't need any SS to maintain GL3 unless you have fairly poor latency.

With the High potency MNK opener posted in the MNK Temple (PB > Demo > Snap > Snap > DK > Twin > ToD), i'd argue that 375 SS is the absolute bottom.

If your NOT using ToD after PB falls off then sure dump as much SS as u like.
