Poetics capping question

For example, I have 1,950/2,000 'Total' poetics and 50/450 'This Week'.
What happens when Total reaches 2,000? Will 'This Week' stay at 100/450 or it will raise to 450/450 (meaning 350 will be wasted this week)?

As far as I know, if you hit the cap you will no longer gain any poetics, so your weekly cap counter will not move.

The 2000 is the max you can have on you at any given time and the 450 is the max you can get per week. So when you hit 2000 total poetics the weekly will still be 100/450 but you will not be able to get any more poetics until you spend some.
