For some reason system won't allow me to post in crafting forum so putting this here. Do the armorsmiths or other classes make any form of chain armor for lancers? I got one up to 10 and it is now looking like he is only getting heavy plate stuff now rather then chain armor . I looked at some of the stuff leather works make and the leather stuff appears ,quite frankly looks like something a specialty "dancer" would wear for their shows.

But seriously, yes dragoons get chainmail gear sets and light armor gear sets.

Though sadly, between 28 and 43 there isn't much of a selection by way of chainmail.
I personally prefer the scale mail.
Thanks everyone, I know I gotten the pieces from quest and a rare drop and assumed armorer would create them. Guess I'll just push on with the level grinding on it and see what comes up.
Once you get to 45 you'll get a job quest which gives you the first parts of your class specific artifact armour set, with the last part coming at 50. And after you hit 50 and start doing endgame content, most of your gear will be class specific from then on, it's only the generic levelling gear which is multi class.
When I was your level which wasn't to long ago (only 4-5 weeks into this game), I was slightly confused on armor too but at your lvl don't worry about armor or crafting your own armor. With each questing town per your lvl you will find merchants selling gear for your lvl. I wouldn't start crafting till you hit 50 and some doe to back up your mats. Also, don't worry about saving generic material because merchants already sell it for cheap and it goes for nothing on the market board.
